| On a fateful Saturday afternoon, shortly after 4:45 pm, the Asch building of the Triangle Shirtwaist Company caught fire trapping inside hundreds of young women. With no escape routes available, many lept into their death from the windows of the building. The number of perished young souls was 146. All this happened on March 25, 1911. |
